<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his long professional career, his art has crystallized around two paths \u2013 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first path comprise his collaborations with other people and institutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2000-2010 –  he collaborated with the playwright and director Ingmar Villqist as a set designer and assistant director in the following performances: Helver’s Night, Anaerobes, Oscar and Ruth, and The Case of the City of Ellmit
2005 \u2013  he was the set designer and director’s assistant in Piotr Szmitke\u2019s opera The Hysterical Museum of Mme Eurosis, performed at the Silesian Opera in Bytom
2005 \u2013 he worked as second set designer and production manager for the full-length feature film Helmucik
2010 \u2013\u2013 he worked as second set designer and production manager for the full-length feature film  \u201cEwa\u201d, in which he also made his acting debut
2011 \u2013 He collaborated with the cinematographer Adam Sikora – test shooting for the film Mill and Cross directed by Lech Majewski
2021 \u2013 member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers2021 \u2013 member of Programme Committee of the Goldsmithing Artists’ Association<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the second path of his career has concentrated on his own individual works of sculpture, drawings, paintings, spatial, functional and advertising designs, as well as art jewellery. Currently, his principal creative focus is artwork based on silver and precious metals – micro-sculptures, three-dimensional bas-reliefs where form is subordinate to function –  in which he alludes to archetypes and anthropological symbols from our cultural past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AMBER and other worlds – the latest collection shows the beauty of Baltic amber, which harmonizes perfectly with raw silver forms. Several dozen of exhibitions in Poland and around the world perfectly illustrate this work.

Jewelry by Tomasz Stangrecki – It does not evoke associations strictly with jewelry – in the commonly accepted sense of the word – smooth, shiny decorations. It can be more appropriately called anti-jewelry<\/strong>, or micro sculptures with the function of jewelry with brutalist, raw forms.
Creative searches take place in the field of FORM – or its absence  (inspired by the art of Henry Moore – form is also there where it seemingly does not exist), SPACE, ARCHITECTURE, FACTOR – or its absence…
The artist now allows himself to look for and choose CONTIGENCY in art (not randomness). Each work is one-time, unique, special and is a kind of personal AMULET for both the Creator and the Recipient.
Inspirations and fascinations – biomorphic shapes, modern and Bauhaus architecture, prehistoric art – hence the impression as if the objects were artifacts obtained from archaeological excavations with typical maceration, or referred to the rock engravings of Altamira or Lascaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
